Passionate about guiding individuals on their journey to self-discovery and emotional resilience, Dr. Susan Welnel is a dedicated clinical psychologist known for her compassionate and empowering approach. With a focus on personal growth and well-being, she helps clients navigate life’s challenges with confidence and strength. She received her Masters and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Twin Cities. She was honored to receive the President’s Leadership Award during her time at the University. She completed an internship with the Veteran’s Administration in Iowa and completed her Post Doctoral education with the Minnesota Consortium for Advanced Rural Psychology Training. She provided services for 11 agencies during that time. She has worked in several large healthcare systems, chairing the department in one of her more recent work experiences.

Dr. Welnel works primarily with adult populations for assessment and treatment of psychological difficulties. Typical conditions treated include problems with trauma, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, and grief. Dr. Welnel holds active licenses in Florida, Montana and Minnesota. She provides in person services part of the year in Florida (in season) and provides tele-health services to all the states where she is licensed year round.
